The services rendered by the veteran Dhamma preacher Most Venerable Kotugoda Dhammawasa Anunayaka Thero for a period of nearly 6 decades, have been appreciated. A ceremony to felicitate the Anunayaka Thero was held at the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation Friday.
Mahanayaka of the Amarapura Maha Nikaya Most Venerable Davuldena Gnanaissara Thero delivering an anusasana said the Most Venerable Kotugoda Dhammawasa Thero has been able to explain the core of the Buddha Dhamma in a correct and simple language style.
Mahanayaka of the Ramagna Maha Nikaya Most Venerable Napane Premasiri Thero said that the Anunayaka Thero has the skill to deliver Dhamma sermons in a manner suited for the society by expressing the reality of life.
Anunayaka of Malwatta Chapter Most Venerable Niyangoda Vijithasiri Thero said that he considers the felicitation as an appreciation bestowed upon the Dhamma and the Maha Sangha.
The Most Venerable Kotugoda Dhammawasa Anunayaka Thero in his address has stated that the country has embarked upon the correct path after 30 years of war.
The Head of State, Ministers and the officials are acting according to the Dhamma. This has resulted in the wellbeing of the country and the people.
The Pansil was delivered by the Head of the Vidyalankara Pirivena Venerable Welamitiyave Kusaladhamma Thero. Officials of the SLBC were also present.
